Description: The project strive towards a Europe where the diversity of cultures, the arts, and cultural and natural heritage are essential to the development of a genuine openness of mind and basic rights, and where open and interactive processes and practices of culture encompass different elements that combine to help us deal with the complexities of living with ourselves and one another. Respecting that everyone is different, be that based on age, disability, ethnicity, faith, gender, language or sexual orientation is the sign of a healthy society which is well placed to achieve harmony and positive outcomes for individuals. At a time of migration within Europe by EU citizens, from outside the EU by migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, it is important that the values of being inclusive and accepting of others feed into youth work. The project partners have come together with a good baseline of existing skills, a commitment to share and learn and most importantly use the project as a method of improving their provision. This has been achieved through 7 training events for staff / volunteers and young people, creation of peer to peer networks and a Good Practice Guide that can be downloaded from the attachments.
